This is a Thirsty Thirty© Print, inspired by the One-Dollar Coin of the Singapore currency. The pattern comprises 30 circular motifs illustrated from the three series of dollar coins, which were issued into circulation in 1967 (Stone Lion), 1987 (Periwinkle flower) and 2013 (Merlion), on each side, hence the name of the bag.

The first series of coins are representative of Singapore's new status of independence from a British Colony, having coins without the effigy of the reigning British Monarch. The second series highlights Singapore's Garden City identity, featuring native plants and flowers on the five denominations. The octagonal frame of the One-Dollar coin was first featured in the second series and is retained in the third series. The third series of coins feature familiar national landmarks and icons to appeal to all generations of Singaporeans. With security features such as electromagnetic signatures for each denomination and bimetallic composition of the One-Dollar coin, the third series of coins also boast unique edge patterns for better differentiation amongst the coins, particularly for the visually-impaired. Both the second and third series bear the Singapore Arms, and the word Singapore in the four official languages - English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil on the reverse side.
